Staff Contact - Sean McKenna Kentucky Central Life Insurance Company (Ky.)Estate Distribution Allocation Almost Complete
As previously reported, NOLHGA received a $16.5 million distribution from the Kentucky Central estate on August 11, 2006. The distribution was for repayment of the policyholder benefits the guaranty associations funded after the 1995 plan closing through the end of the plan in 2000. The KCL Task Force, with the assistance of PricewaterhouseCoopers, is reconciling the total amounts paid and the total repayments received by each guaranty association related to Kentucky Central so that the $16.5 million distribution can be properly allocated among all guaranty associations. The task force expects to complete its work by mid-September, and thereafter NOLHGA will forward all amounts due to each guaranty association.
