Annual Meeting Deadlines Approach...Hotel Almost Sold Out!
Just a reminder that registration deadlines for NOLHGA's 18th Annual Meeting are right around the corner. The hotel reservation cutoff date is Sept. 17, and the early meeting registration deadline is Sept. 21. For those of you still planning your itinerary, the Oct. 16 MPC Meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m., with lunch an hour beforehand. Staff Contact - Sean McKenna American Chambers (OH)Declining Volume of Claims Leads to Monthly Processing
The TPA Claims Subgroup met this week with Antares by teleconference. The reduced volume of claims was discussed, and it was decided that Antares will begin processing claims on a monthly rather than biweekly basis. Antares' personnel and contact information will remain the same through the end of this year.
Last week, NOLHGA distributed two memoranda to the affected GAs pertaining to the collection of expense information and the reinsurance of individual life policies. All affected GAs should return the financial questionnaires to NOLHGA by the end of this month. With respect to the individual life policies, 18 GAs received a small number of policies to administer beginning in April. Any states interested in having the policies reinsured by Madison National should provide Meg Melusen at NOLHGA with the information requested by September 10 or contact her at 703-787-4130.
