Estate Closing Approved

On September 20, 2004, the Georgia court supervising the liquidation of Coastal States Life Insurance Company entered an order approving the distribution of the remaining assets of Coastal States, the dissolution of its corporate existence, the discharge of the liquidator, and the closing of the estate. The Coastal States Task Force will monitor the closing of the estate and will work with the liquidator's staff for a timely distribution of the remaining assets. The guaranty associations' share of the final distribution should be in excess of $3 million.
