Voting for IAIR Board Elections Opens

Elections for positions on the International Association of Insurance Receivers (IAIR) Board of Directors will be held in December 2006 at the IAIR meeting in San Antonio. Ballot and proxy materials have been distributed, and voting has begun. IAIR members can vote at this time via phone, Internet, or mail. If voting by mail, the proxy card must be received by December 8. Members can also vote in person at the meeting on December 9.

The term for IAIR board positions is three years. There are 5 positions to be filled this year, with 13 candidates in the running for those positions. IAIR seeks diverse representation from within its membership community, which includes receivers, guaranty association representatives, and other insurance industry professionals. NOLHGA views the diverse participation in IAIR as a significant strength and is pleased that Lowell Miller, the executive director of the North Carolina Life & Health Insurance Guaranty Association, is on the ballot. We encourage all IAIR members to vote.
