January 2024 MPC Meeting Website Goes Live

The website for NOLHGA’s January 2024 MPC meeting in Tampa has gone live. The site offers both in-person and online registration for the meeting, which will be held on January 11 and 12. An agenda for the meeting will be released in December, but we expect the meeting to run all day on the 11th and until noon or so on the 12th.

The meeting website also offers online hotel reservations for the Renaissance Tampa International Plaza Hotel, the host hotel for the meeting. The deadline for reservations at the NOLHGA rate of $275/night plus tax is December 20, 2023.

Receiver Moves to Close Estate

During the week of November 12, 2023, the NHL Receiver filed the final pleadings associated with winding down and closing the NHL estate, including the Receiver’s Final report requesting, among other things, approval of an assignment agreement with the Delaware guaranty association and abandonment of other rights. On November 15, the court granted the Receiver’s Motion for entry of an order to Show Cause, commencing a 30-day notice and objection period, following which the court may enter its final order to close the estate. Copies of the pleadings and related orders will be made available to affected associations on QUEST.
