Proof of Claim Filed
On May 1, NOLHGA filed an Omnibus Proof of Claim with the Liquidator on behalf of all affected guaranty associations in the form shared with the associations ahead of time. On a sad note, outside counsel for the Liquidator, Gene Holliker, with whom we have worked with on a variety of matters since the American Chambers receivership began a year ago, passed away this week.

The two-volume Insolvency Financial Reports are now available for access on the NOLHGA website. Access to the reports is limited to guaranty association administrators/board members. The reports are accessible in the "Confidential Access" section of NOLHGA's website, and can be accessed by clicking on the "2000 Insolvency Financial Report" link. Acrobat reader, version 3.0 or higher is needed to view the files. These reports will no longer be mailed in printed form to guaranty associations.
The information can be viewed either by insolvency or by state. In addition, a "Help with PDF" link has been created offering hints on navigating PDF files.

Due to the retirement of Jack King later this year, the Arizona Life and Disability Insurance Guaranty Fund and the Arizona Property and Casualty Insurance Guaranty Fund are jointly seeking an Executive Director to manage guaranty fund operations including assessments, finances, records, contract services, interaction with receiverships, development and implementation of administrative policies and procedures, coordination of Board meetings and staff supervision. Duties also include liaison with NOLHGA, NCIGF, NAIC and similar organizations. Requires strong administrative skills including automated systems, knowledge of insurance industry and laws, and familiarity with administration of insolvencies. Position located in Phoenix, Arizona.
