Life Policies Assumed by Madison National

On March 28, NOLHGA closed on an Assumption Reinsurance Agreement with Madison National Life. Under the agreement, Madison assumed a small number of individual life policies being administered by 14 of the 38 guaranty associations affected by American Chambers. The 14 participating guaranty associations are: California, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin. A post-closing 30-day true-up is planned to account for premiums received by the guaranty associations after the December 1, 2001, effective date of the agreement.

MPC Meeting Information Available On-line

Hotel and registration information for the next MPC meeting, which will be held May 20-22 at the Hilton Columbus in Columbus, Ohio, can be found on the meeting Web page. The page can also be accessed through the "Calendar" section of the NOLHGA Web site by clicking on "Details" for the May MPC meeting listing.

The MPC meeting Web page contains general meeting information as well as contact information for the Hilton Columbus (the cut-off date for hotel reservations is April 29) and a page offering on-line meeting registration. Preliminary schedules for committee and task force meetings and the MPC general session should be posted next week.
