2012 Annual Meeting Dates Announced
NOLHGA's 2012 Annual Meeting will be held on October 2-3 at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio, Texas. A shortened MPC meeting will be held on October 1.
We also look forward to seeing you at NOLHGA's 2011 Annual Meeting, which will be held this October 11-12 at the InterContinental Hotel in Chicago. That meeting will also be preceded by an MPC meeting, on October 10.

Staff Contact -McRaith May Be Named Head of FIO
According to Reuters and several other news sources, the Obama Administration is expected soon to name Illinois Insurance Director Michael T. McRaith as head of the new Federal Insurance Office (FIO). McRaith, who spent 15 years in private practice as an attorney before joining the Illinois Department of Insurance, has been a frequent speaker at NOLHGA meetings over the past few years.
The FIO was established in 2010 as part of the financial services regulatory reforms included in the Dodd-Frank Act. McRaith would be the office's first leader.
