Policyholders Notified of Proposed Rehabilitation Plan Amendment
The most recent issue of the Penn Treaty/ANIC policyholder newsletter, which was mailed to all Penn Treaty and ANIC policyholders this week, includes a summary of the anticipated amended rehabilitation plan and a brief explanation of the Company A/Company B (good bank/bad bank) structure. A copy of the newsletter is also publicly available on Penn Treaty’s website.
The task force understands that some guaranty associations have already gotten calls from policyholders who received this mailing. We did not see an advance copy of the newsletter; the task force received it from the rehabilitator on June 23. We are working on a Q&A document that we will share with affected guaranty associations soon to help in responding to policyholder questions. In the meantime, please base your responses about the anticipated rehabilitation plan on the information included in the policyholder newsletter. If you receive questions that you would prefer to have NOLHGA address, please forward them to Dick Klipstein ([email protected] or 703.787.4117).
