
Sheppard to Discuss DC’s Captive Operations at NOLHGA’s Legal Seminar
Dana Sheppard, Acting Deputy Commissioner for Market Compliance with the District of Columbia’s Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking, has agreed to speak at NOLHGA’s 24th Legal Seminar, which will be held on July 21–22 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C.
Having one of the most modern statutory frameworks for captive regulation, the District of Columbia has been a significant captive jurisdiction for the better part of two decades. Sheppard, who leads the District’s captive operations, will discuss the District’s presence and its philosophy in regulating captives in 2016 and beyond.
