Deadline Extended for Legal Seminar Registration & Reservations
The deadline for making hotel reservations and registering for NOLHGA's 14th Annual Legal Seminar has been extended to July 11, 2006. The seminar will be held August 3 and 4 at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore, Md., and hotel information and online registration can be found at the joint Legal Seminar/MPC meeting Web page. Registration for the MPC meeting on August 1 and 2 is also offered on the page.

The International Association of Insurance Receivers (IAIR) is accepting nominations for members interested in serving on the IAIR Board of Directors. The term for board positions is three years, and there are five positions expiring this year. Nominees must be current IAIR members and must be willing to participate in quarterly board meetings.
IAIR seeks diverse representation from within its membership community, which includes receivers, guaranty association representatives, and industry. NOLHGA views the diverse participation in IAIR as a strength and would like to take this opportunity to encourage our members to consider serving on the IAIR board. The election will be held in December 2006, in conjunction with the IAIR annual meeting in San Antonio, Tex., and nominations are due by October 2.
