Legal Seminar Planners Seek New Ideas
Planning has begun for the 15th Annual NOLHGA Legal Seminar, which will be held July 12-13, 2007, at the Stanford Court hotel in San Francisco. The seminar will be preceded by an MPC meeting on July 10-11.
The Legal Seminar Planning Committee recently held its kickoff teleconference to develop an agenda for the seminar. As always, the committee is seeking current topics of interest and importance to the membership. Please submit any ideas you might have to Meg Melusen at [email protected]. Suggestions regarding potential speakers are always appreciated as well.
Staff Contact -NAIC Changes National Meeting Format
The NAIC has announced a plan to streamline the format of its national meetings. Beginning with the March 2007 meeting, the number of sessions held at each meeting will be reduced and the schedule will be compacted into a four-day format (Friday through Monday), with the event officially ending at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As a consequence, there will be changes to individual meeting schedules. The NAIC typically posts the meeting schedule online at www.NAIC.org approximately 30 days before the start of the meeting. Given the announced format changes, attendees are encouraged to confirm meeting schedules before finalizing travel arrangements.
