Liquidation Order Issued for Bankers Life & Colorado Bankers

On December 30, 2022, the Superior Court of Wake County, North Carolina, issued an Order granting the petition for liquidation of Bankers Life Insurance Company (BLIC) and Colorado Bankers Life Insurance Company (CBLIC). If there is no appeal, the Order is scheduled to become effective on March 31, 2023. If the Order is appealed, it is scheduled to become effective month-end 90 days after the conclusion of all appeals.

The rehabilitation of BLIC and CBLIC will continue, with the Receivership Court retaining jurisdiction over the rehabilitation until the Order of Liquidation becomes effective.
