Premium Account Balance Distributed

An assumption reinsurance agreement with New Era Life closed on January 2, 2006, effectively transferring all remaining in-force States General policies to New Era. The closing was funded in large part by allocated premiums held in NOLHGA's States General premium accounts. The remaining premium balance is now being distributed to the affected guaranty associations. Checks will be sent to the affected associations, along with an allocation detail, during the week of February 12.

Technology Seminar Scheduled for May MPC Meeting

NOLHGA's Systems Department will conduct a technology seminar at the May MPC meeting, which will be held May 22-24, 2006, at the Westin Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Ind. The seminar will take place on the afternoon of May 22.

The seminar, a follow-up to one conducted during the May 2005 MPC meeting, will provide attendees with an opportunity to learn more about a variety of topics concerning enterprise technology. Shortly after the February MPC meeting, an online survey will be sent to guaranty association administrators asking them what topics they would like to see addressed at the upcoming seminar. The Systems Department will use this information to put together a program. We encourage all interested administrators to complete the survey.
