Olsen Named New Executive Director of Minnesota GA

Pamela Epp Olsen, Administrator of the Nebraska Life & Health Insurance Guaranty Association, has been named the new Executive Director of the Minnesota Life & Health Insurance Guaranty Association by the association’s Board of Directors. She replaces former Executive Director Jerry Backhaus, who is retiring.

“We want to thank Jerry for his 26 years of outstanding service to the Minnesota Guaranty Association,” said Minnesota Association Board Chair Beth Byrne. “It’s difficult to picture the Association without Jerry, who has served the Association with excellence since 1993, but we are thrilled that Pamela will be taking over, and we have every confidence that the standard of service that our Association has established through the years will continue under her leadership.”

Backhaus will continue with the association through May 2019 to help with the transition.
