Updated GA Expense Data Requested

Guaranty association expense information for the fourth quarter of 2003 is now due. Reporting forms for fourth quarter expenses were faxed to all affected guaranty associations on January 30, 2004, with a noted return date of February 13. For those states that have not yet submitted their expense data through the fourth quarter of 2003, we ask that you please send that information to us at this time. If you have no expenses to report for this period, please indicate that on the reporting form. We would be glad to provide duplicate reporting forms upon request.

Conflicts Surveys and Antitrust Certifications Due March 5

NOLHGA’s Conflicts Policy and annual questionnaire were sent out by mail on February 6, 2004, to all NOLHGA personnel and representatives, including NOLHGA’s Board members, committee and task force members, and consultants. The questionnaire must be completed on an annual basis by all persons subject to NOLHGA’s Conflicts Policy. This year’s questionnaire covers activities occurring from January 1, 2003, through the date of response.

In addition, NOLHGA’s Antitrust Policy, Implementation Guidelines, and annual certification forms were simultaneously sent to all NOLHGA personnel and representatives referenced above and to all guaranty association administrators. As is the case with NOLHGA’s Conflicts Policy, the Antitrust Policy requires an acknowledgement of receipt and an annual certification of compliance from all recipients.

Please review these materials and return the completed forms to Aimee Frye at NOLHGA by mail or fax (703.481.5209) no later than March 5. These forms should only take a few minutes to complete, and your timely response is very important. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Peterson & Bullock Celebrate NOLHGA Anniversaries

Paul Peterson, NOLHGA’s vice president of accounting and finance, recently celebrated his eleventh anniversary with the organization. He began work at NOLHGA on February 1, 1993. Kenny Bullock, NOLHGA’s manager of technology systems, will celebrate his fourth anniversary with NOLHGA on February 14. Please join the entire NOLHGA staff in congratulating them both for reaching these milestones.
