Legal Seminar Planning Begins
NOLHGA’s 26th Legal Seminar is scheduled to take place on July 19–20, 2018, at the Marriott Marquis in New York City. An MPC meeting is scheduled for July 18.
The Legal Seminar Planning Committee will hold its kickoff teleconference later this month to begin developing an agenda for the seminar. Ideas for program content are welcome. This year’s Planning Committee is made up of Joel Glover (Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie), Chair; Jack Falkenbach (Delaware); Charles Gullickson (South Dakota); Pat Hughes (Faegre Baker Daniels); Catherine Masters (Schiff Hardin); Tad Rhodes (Colorado and Oklahoma); Tom Sullivan (Iowa); and Susan Voss (American Enterprise Group).

Staff Contact -New Jersey Appoints New Acting Insurance Commissioner
New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy has appointed Marlene Caride as acting commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance. The appointment of Ms. Caride, who was a member of the New Jersey General Assembly and served on its financial institutions and insurance committee, was effective January 16.
