Additional Early Access Funds Distributed in December
On November 14, 2018, the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania entered an order granting the Liquidator’s most recent application for approval to make additional interim distributions to the life and health guaranty associations. This distribution will increase the guaranty associations’ policy-level claim recovery from 80% to 92% of approved claims. Distribution checks have been mailed to affected guaranty associations.
The task force has been advised that this is still an interim distribution, not the final distribution. Some additional distributions are likely, though we do not know when they will be made or how much they will entail.
