
Preliminary Annual Meeting Schedule Posted
A preliminary schedule for NOLHGA’s 2018 Annual Meeting has been posted on the meeting website. Confirmed speakers include:
• Robert Edsel: Author and Founder & President of The Monuments Men Foundation for the Preservation of Art
• Terri Vaughan: Former NAIC President & CEO
• Karen Shaw Petrou: Managing Partner, Federal Financial Analytics
• Mike Kreidler: Washington Insurance Commissioner
The meeting will also feature a panel discussion of former MPC Chairs, the annual meetings of GABC and LTC Re, and briefings from the Lincoln Memorial and Penn Treaty/ANIC Task Forces.
The 2018 Annual Meeting will be held on October 18 and 19 at the Grand Hyatt Seattle. The registration fee is $650 for members and $775 for non-members. The guest fee of $125 offers guests access to the Welcome Reception on October 17, the Welcome Luncheon and Taste of Seattle reception on October 18, and breakfast on October 19.
The Annual Meeting will be held in conjunction with an MPC meeting on October 17; there is no registration fee for the MPC meeting. If you have not registered for the Annual Meeting or booked your hotel rooms, we encourage you to do so as soon as possible. Online registration and hotel reservations are available on the meeting website.

Former Illinois Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association Board member Ellen G. Robinson passed away on August 7, 2018, after a long illness. Ellen was 74 years old. Before serving on the ILHIGA Board, she was a founder of the Chicago litigation boutique law firm, Robinson, Curley & Clayton. She was deeply involved in a number of insurer insolvencies and had served on the Board of the International Association of Insurance Receivers.
