Trial Underway in Artemis Case

In Los Angeles, the second trial of the Artemis case began on October 17, 2012, before Judge Klausner of the United States District Court, Central District of California. The focus of this second trial is on damages, as liability was established in the first trial. The Commissioner has completed his case in chief, and the defense began its case on October 23. The case was submitted to the jury on October 25. If compensatory damages are awarded, there may be a second phase of the trial to address punitive damages.
