MPC Meets in Savannah
The Members’ Participation Council (MPC) met in Savannah, Georgia, on April 19–20, 2018. The Penn Treaty Network America/American Network Insurance Companies (Pennsylvania) Task Force conducted a closed-session presentation, and the Accounting Issues Committee, MPC Health CO-OP Task Force, and MPC Executive Committee also met.
The meeting also featured three Administrators Education Steering Committee presentations: NAIC Insurance Data Security Model Law: What Insurers Need to Know by Peter Guffin (Pierce Atwood LLP); Test Your Security IQ by Candie Kinch (Idaho, Oregon, and Wyoming) and Dan Hicks (NOLHGA); and LTC Allocations & Health Premium Tests by Way of Middle Earth: And You Thought That Nordic Runes Were Difficult to Understand by Tom Dawson (Strohm Ballweg) and Paul Peterson (NOLHGA).
In addition to the task force report below, NOLHGA President Peter Gallanis provided the President’s Report, and MPC Chair Pamela Olsen briefed attendees on MPC Executive Committee activity.
