October MPC Meeting Schedule Posted

The preliminary schedule for the October 2020 MPC meeting, which will be conducted online as a Zoom webinar, was recently distributed to all NOLHGA members. If you did not receive a copy, you can request one at [email protected].

The meeting will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on October 26. It will feature the MPC Executive Committee meeting, the MPC General Session, and the annual meetings of GABC and LTC Re. Closed-session presentations for several receiverships will be held on the second day of NOLHGA’s 2020 Annual Meeting (October 28), which will require separate registration.

Registration for the October MPC meeting is not open yet. In the next few days, NOLHGA will distribute a message asking attendees to register for the meeting. Once you register, you will receive an email with a link to the Zoom webinar—you can add that message to your electronic calendar using a link at the bottom of the message. As a reminder, please do not forward the webinar link to anyone—all attendees must register individually for the MPC meeting.

NAIC Fall National Meeting Moves Online

The NAIC announced this week that its Fall National Meeting, which had been scheduled to be held in Indianapolis on November 14–17, will instead be held online due to the challenges of holding large, in-person meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A schedule with specific dates and times will be available on the NAIC website by the end of September. Registration for the Fall National Meeting will open next week.
