Annual Meeting Hotel Reservations Deadline Today
The deadline for making hotel reservations for NOLHGA's 23rd Annual Meeting is today, September 15. NOLHGA has been informed by the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa in Dana Point, Calif., that its block of rooms at the NOLHGA rate of $189/night is almost filled. Once the reservation deadline passes, a limited number of rooms will be available at a rate of $219/night.
The registration deadline for the meeting has been extended to September 22. Online registration and hotel information are available on the joint MPC meeting and Annual Meeting Web page. The page also includes a preliminary meeting schedule and other meeting information, including a link to the Web site of the Mission San Juan Capistrano, which will host the "Evening under the Stars" NOLHGA reception on October 10.

Staff Contact -Voter Designation and Proxy Forms Due September 25
To vote on any matters that may come before the membership, each member association must submit a Designation of Authorized Representative form to Holly Wilding by September 25, 2006. For those wishing to vote by proxy, a proxy ballot must also be completed and returned to Ms. Wilding by the same date. These forms accompanied a communication dated August 30, 2006, that was sent to guaranty association administrators and their state board chairs reminding them of the upcoming election to fill four positions on the NOLHGA Board of Directors during the October 10 Annual Business Session.
Please note that the process has changed from prior years in that the information contained on the Designation of Authorized Representative form will now remain in effect until a guaranty association member sends NOLHGA satisfactory confirmation of a change in its designated representative.
