April 2020 MPC Meeting Schedule Posted

The preliminary schedule for the April 2020 MPC meeting, which will be conducted via conference calls due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19, has been posted to the meeting website. All of the calls will be held during the afternoon (ET) to make it easier for members on the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii to participate. Start times for the calls are staggered to avoid difficulties many organizations are experiencing due to the high volume of calls starting on the hour or half hour.

Currently, we are evaluating online meeting vendors to host the April meeting; we will inform you when one has been selected. Participants will be required to register for the calls; registration and dial-in information will be sent to you in the next week or two.

New Jersey GA Selects New Executive Director

Felix Schirripa has been appointed Executive Director in Transition of the New Jersey Life & Health Insurance Guaranty Association, effective March 30, 2020. Jim Lenaghan will remain Executive Director until June 30, 2020.

Previously, Schirripa was the lead actuary at the New Jersey Department of Banking & Insurance. He also served as Senior Vice President of Institutional Products at MetLife.
