Staff Contact - Sean McKenna American Chambers Life Insurance Company (Ohio)Petition Filed for Third Early Access Distribution
The American Chambers liquidator has filed a petition with the Ohio Liquidation Court to approve a third early access distribution to the guaranty associations in the amount of $1.5 million for policy-level claims. A hearing date has not been set but is expected in February.
American Chambers was an Ohio-domiciled insurer that wrote mostly health insurance and was placed in liquidation in May 2000. The estate remains open primarily because of litigation the liquidator is still pursuing against certain third parties. For copies of the petition, or if you have any questions, please contact Meg Melusen at 703.787.4130 or [email protected].
