Nason to Speak at Annual Meeting

David Nason, assistant secretary for financial institutions with the U.S. Department of the Treasury, will speak at NOLHGA's 24th Annual Meeting, which will be held October 9-10, 2007, at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island in Amelia Island, Fla. He is scheduled to speak on the afternoon of October 9.

As assistant secretary for financial institutions, Nason serves as a senior advisor to the Secretary, the Deputy Secretary, and the Under Secretary for Domestic Finance on all matters relating to financial institutions, government-sponsored enterprises, financial education initiatives, the CDFI Fund, and ensuring the resilience of the financial services sector. From October 2005 to June 2007, Nason served as deputy assistant secretary for financial institutions, where he oversaw the Office of Financial Institutions Policy.

Nason also serves as a key adviser to the Treasury Secretary in his capacity as chair of the President's Working Group on Financial Markets, which consists of the chairs of the Federal Reserve Board, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. He oversees the Terrorism Risk Insurance Program, which is the Treasury office that implements and manages the program created by the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act of 2002.

The schedule is in PDF format, and users will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print the materials. Acrobat Reader is available free from Adobe.
