Lincoln Memorial Life Insurance Company (Lincoln Memorial), Memorial Service Life Insurance Company (Memorial Service), and National Prearranged Services, Inc. (NPS) were placed in receivership in Texas on May 14, 2008. The liquidation order was finalized on October 22, 2008. Most of the insurance policies sold by Lincoln Memorial and Memorial Service are related to pre-need funeral contracts consumers purchased through NPS.
